Himani Arora
Founder & Lead Practitioner
Built on the Belief That Everyone Deserves to Thrive
Brave Mental Health was founded in 2021 by Himani Arora, a qualified Behaviour Support Practitioner with a deep passion for person-centred, evidence-based support.
Himani started Brave Mental Health because she saw a gap: too many NDIS participants and families were accessing services that felt clinical, impersonal, and disconnected from their real lives. She wanted to build something different — a practice where people feel genuinely heard, where support is practical and human, and where the person’s goals and identity sit at the centre of everything.
Since 2021, Brave Mental Health has supported over 410 participants across Melbourne — from early childhood to adulthood — using NDIS Behaviour Support, counselling, and personalised intervention plans.

What Makes Brave Mental Health Different
We Actually Listen
We start by understanding your story — not just your diagnosis. The most important information comes from you, your family, and the people who know the person best.
Plain-Language Plans
Our Behaviour Support Plans are written for real people — not just NDIS auditors. Your family, teachers, and support workers will actually understand and use them.
We Don’t Disappear
We don’t write a plan and vanish. We provide ongoing coaching, check-ins, and reviews — because life changes, and your plan should too.
Culturally Sensitive
We work with families from all cultural backgrounds, including CALD communities where mental health and disability conversations can feel stigmatised. Support is respectful of each family’s culture, values, and communication preferences.
Telehealth Ready
All services are available online — giving you flexibility that fits your family’s routine, school schedule, and life.
Fast Response
We respond to all enquiries within 1 business day. When you’re in crisis or urgently need support, waiting weeks for a reply isn’t acceptable.
Brave Mental Health acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands on which we work across Melbourne and Victoria. We pay our respects to Elders past and present and recognise the ongoing connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to Country, culture, and community.
Brave Mental Health is a proud LGBTQIA+ affirming practice 🏳️🌈
